For months Owen has been asking for a construction cake for his 4th birthday! he has even been checking some other ones out on-line and requesting specific details :) I think he'll be really happy with how the cake turned out. I'm happier with it than I expected, the cake fell apart after baking it and it was a mess to put it back together. Luckily construction sites don't need to be neat and tidy. The other bonus was I could just use store bought icing because I didn't need to pipe anything on this cake - such a big time saver!
I was mostly worried the road wouldn't really look like the number 4 but it turned out pretty well. Overall I'm happy with his cake and I think he'll be really excited to see it on Sunday!
